Denver

We finally made our big move today. It was only about a 45 minute drive, but now we're as close to downtown as we can be, so we're perched to do all the Denver stuff.

Before we left Ian had to play another round of golf. He's becoming quite the golf nut. Luckily, he has low standards. Here are a few samples of the course he's been playing all week:

Ian didn't really mind all the brush, hoses, and sprinklers set up on the greens. He didn't mind that the carpet was pretty much gone (compare to his green shirt) or that the boards were broken.

Now, the rest of the park was nice. The people were friendly and the owner gave us a good deal on staying there. I'm not trying to disrespect the park as a whole. But this golf course-wow, it's been seriously neglected for some time.

We did manage to get to the Denver Children's Museum. It took much longer than expected, since there is only one way to get there and that has changed since our 2005 atlas and 2007 GPS software were written. Eventually we found our way and I'm glad we did. They had a fabulous area for little kids. We played there for an hour and a half and only left because the museum was closing. We'll definitely be going back and taking lots of pictures.
