Since there has been some interest in the comments, I thought I would show you what the current flooded areas are near Two Rivers Campground. On the map below, our campground is marked with an "A" and the text "TRC". It's surrounded by the Cumberland River, but it's fine, with just a small amount of water across one roadway.
The KOA in the upper left is completely covered with as much as 10 feet of water in places. Opryland is in the lower left, completely underwater as well. You can still get from the frontage road onto Briley Parkway/155 North, but south is closed due to flooding.

I was there on Sunday at the KOA. I woke late in the morning to find ourself in a little semi-dry island. My neighbor tried to leave only to get off the pavement and stuck. Our children were home with my in-laws two hours away. We were torn between trying to rescue our rv and risk being stranded away from our children or going home without our RV. When I stepped out into a half a foot of quickly rising water smelling of sewage I opted to go home with our truck. It took us three hours to get there. I wonder what are the conditions today. Did the water recede at all? Do you think I could reach it tomorrow? Where the RV's submerged or did the float? I would appreciate answers to any or all of these questions. Thanks.
I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you were able to get back to your kids. I'm sure I would have made the same call. If you can tell me what site number you were in and what kind of rig I'm looking for, I can go see what I can see, but I'm afraid it's likely to be bad news. Here's a site map: http://www.koa.com/where/tn/42148/facilities/sitemap.htm
Here's that sitemap in case the URL didn't come through.
The site number was I9. Thank you so much.
Gabriel,
My wife looked a few minutes ago, and Music Valley Drive is still flooded well past the entrance of the KOA, so there's no way to get close. She saw a travel trailer with the water halfway up the door in the area your rig was parked in, so maybe 5-6 feet of water. The water may have receded a little bit, but it's still higher than when we first saw it on Sunday evening -- those are the pictures currently on our blog. Sorry to bear bad news, but I'm glad you were able to get out safely and back to your kids.
Jeremy,
I am grateful for the information. I guess there is no point in going there just to look at it from afar. I will wait till Friday. Hopefully then the waters will have receded enough.
